Revitalize your life: an overall sense of health, enthusiasm, and resilience
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is an evidenced based model using six core processes to help you learn how to become psychologically flexible; acceptance, present moment focus, cognitive defusion, noticing self, values, and committed actions. I often describe the result of this approach as developing on "internal compass" or a "pulse" in your life that will lead you towards understanding and responding your thoughts and experiences differently. To compliment this I also use Positive Psychology, which concentrates on five key factors essential to happiness and well-being; positive emotions, engagement, meaning, relationships, and accomplishment.
Combining wellness and holistic practices with these core models leads to a strong focus on overall wellness. We will work towards achieving what your optimal health by proactively addressing things like nutrition, movement, sleep, mindfulness... It will be an eclectic, client-centered, and overall empowering approach personalized for you!
It is my belief that the answers to most things are already within you. Therapy helps you to access what you need and my job is to be your guide. I have witnessed many clients succeed and experience how much better life can be when lived in alignment!
The Consultation Call is your first step—an easy 15-minute telehealth meeting where we meet each other, I explain my approach, and we determine if we’re a good fit. If you decide to move forward, you can schedule your Intake Assessment right away or at your convenience through my online booking site.
Before the Intake Assessment you’ll complete intake forms via the online portal. During the session, we’ll review therapy policies, discuss your concerns, I'll gather some background information, discuss your initial goals, and begin to get to know each other.
In our session we talk through what is happening in your life, explore past experiences and how they may be affecting you now, and collaborate together on where you want things to go. A key part of the work we do will be the relationship we share, so trust, empathy, and understanding are important. We talk about some serious stuff, but might also share some laughs together too! Therapy can be challenging and also a very uplifting and enjoyable experience.
You begin to experience an increase in self-awareness, which leads to an awakening of you mind and connection to your body. Learning certain skills, you start to notice changes in how you respond to things in your life. This is how "living in alignment" starts to happen for you!
I'm excited to include a variety of offerings throughout the year! Expect to see things like a mindfulness program, workshops, group offerings, and e-courses. They will be evolving and changing based on demand, interest, and need. Sign up for the newsletter for ongoing updates and info!

What are OON benefits?
Insurance companies have requirements and restrictions which limits the personalization of delivery of therapeutic services. While I do not accept insurance, I can provide a Superbill through the online portal for you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement if you have Out-of-Network (OON) benefits.
I also accept Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) payments. You simply need to use that card in the Jane app portal as your preferred payment method.
Why do you not accept insurance?
ONLY those you choose to share it with. I adhere to all ethical guidelines and standards of HIPPA and to ensure your privacy is held with the greatest care and concern. All communications, scheduling, telehealth, and payments are HIPPA compliant.
